To achieve a black belt takes four or more years of dedication, motivation and hard work.  You must earn your black belt.  A good attitude and consistent classes is only part of this goal.

Black Belts have many responsiblies.  They must maintain their classes.  They are required to be at two black belt promotions a year and must help and participate at least two Green/Brown belt promotionals.  Each black belt is responsible for four evaluations:

Evaluation #1 - All Self-Defenses (Basics, Intermediate & Kumites)
Evaluation #2 - All Katas
Evaluation #3 - Weapons Kubudo (Katas and kumites)
Evaluation #4 - Advanced Self-Defenses
             (Shodan - Advanced Self-Defenses 1-11)
(Nidan - Advanced Self-Defenses 1-11 both sides)
